Overview
Cookies are small values stored by a website in your browser. Local storage can persist information on a device, while session storage normally lasts for the current browser tab or session.
ReleaseTrax does not currently use Google Analytics, Meta Pixel or advertising cookies. Our use of browser storage may change if the product changes; this notice will be updated before materially different tracking is introduced.
Essential storage
- Authentication cookies: maintain your Supabase sign-in session and refresh access securely.
- Abuse-prevention session: helps rate-limit anonymous misuse and protect forms, uploads and conversations.
- Mature-content acknowledgement: records acceptance for a particular Mature Channel or room for up to 30 days.
These mechanisms support requested service and security functions. Blocking them may prevent sign-in or protected features from working.
Preferences and drafts
Local storage may remember onboarding drafts and progress, unsent Scene post drafts, recently used emoji and adjustable Channel workspace sizes. This information remains on the device until cleared, replaced or removed by the relevant feature.
Link Page analytics
Public Link Pages create a random visitor identifier in local storage and a random session identifier in session storage. They help count visits and outbound clicks without placing a person’s name or email in the analytics event.
Analytics may also record the Link Page or block, destination category, referrer domain, approximate country and device category. Raw IP addresses are not stored in Link Page analytics events. See the Privacy Policy for more information.
Third-party embeds
Artist Pages, Link Pages and conversations may contain players or media from YouTube, Spotify, SoundCloud, Bandcamp, Instagram or other approved providers. Loading or interacting with an embed can allow that provider to receive technical information and use its own cookies or similar technologies.
YouTube previews use YouTube’s privacy-enhanced embed domain where implemented, but Google may still process data when a viewer interacts with the player.
Your controls
You can clear cookies and website storage through your browser. Doing so may sign you out, reset acknowledgements and preferences, remove local drafts, and cause Link Page analytics to treat the browser as a new visitor.
