Automatic import
When you choose automatic creation, you instruct ReleaseTrax to inspect the artist name and public profile links you provide, locate relevant public catalogue information and prepare a structured draft for your review.
The system is designed to use supplied profiles as identity anchors, avoid combining similarly named artists, and prefer verified release-specific sources. It can still make mistakes. No imported result should be treated as verified merely because it appears in a draft.
Services involved
- Spotify: artist identity, public catalogue, release metadata and embedded players.
- Google/YouTube: public channel and video information plus privacy-enhanced embedded players where implemented.
- Apple/iTunes: public search and catalogue matching.
- SoundCloud: public profile or release information and approved embedded players.
- Bandcamp: public artist and release pages plus approved embedded players.
- Instagram: public profile or post links and supported embeds.
- OpenAI: web-assisted research and structured artist-page drafting.
Cloudflare, Supabase, Stripe and Modal also support storage, application infrastructure, billing and audio processing as described in the Privacy Policy.
AI-assisted drafting
ReleaseTrax sends OpenAI the artist name you supply, the public artist links you submit and limited metadata read from those public pages. The request asks for factual structured output and may use web search restricted to relevant domains.
ReleaseTrax currently sends these requests with OpenAI response storage disabled. AI output may nevertheless be incorrect, incomplete or outdated. You must review and correct the draft before relying on or publishing it.
ReleaseTrax does not currently use your private messages or uploaded audio to train a ReleaseTrax AI model.
YouTube
Where a YouTube Data API key is configured, ReleaseTrax may retrieve up to six of the connected public channel’s most-viewed videos for suggested Featured Media. Those results are resolved separately rather than asking the AI model to rank a large candidate list.
ReleaseTrax does not download or provide offline copies of YouTube audiovisual content. YouTube videos remain hosted and controlled by YouTube and are displayed through YouTube players.
By using ReleaseTrax features that display or use YouTube API Services, you also agree to the YouTube Terms of Service. Google’s handling of information is described in the Google Privacy Policy.
Embeds and external links
Embedded players and posts are supplied by the originating service. Loading or interacting with them may send your IP address, browser information and interaction data to that provider under its own terms and privacy policy.
External links take you away from ReleaseTrax. We do not control an external site’s content, security, availability, purchases or privacy practices.
Your responsibility
- Submit only artist profiles you own, represent or are authorised to build.
- Review names, biographies, locations, genres, releases, artwork, dates and media before publication.
- Remove information or content you cannot verify or lawfully use.
- Do not use automatic import to impersonate, monitor or compile profiles about unrelated people.
Third-party availability
ReleaseTrax is not endorsed by or affiliated with a listed provider merely because its API, link or embed is supported. Providers may change their APIs, player behaviour, branding, access rules or availability without ReleaseTrax’s control.
We may remove, replace or limit an integration when necessary to comply with provider terms, law, security requirements or technical changes.
